​Hi, I’m Brenda — An Illustrator and Surface Pattern Designer who creates soulful, nature-inspired art that fuels emotional connections. I draw upon spiritual, visual, and emotional resources to craft meaningful expressions.

My journey as an artist began long before I was born, as I unknowingly carried a creative legacy from my mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

My mother is a talented interior decorator and painter with meticulous techniques in oil, acrylic and gouache. From my grandmother and great-grandmother, I developed an appreciation for sewing and attention to detail.

I believe we owe this meticulous attention to a distant Japanese ancestor.

 

Growing up in a tropical country also helped me appreciate the delicate and lush nature and its wildlife. Photography became another avenue for me to express my creativity.

This passion eventually led me to work with various tools and digital media. Then, a new door opened!

My love for animation led me to explore surface patterns and illustrations, and that’s when I found a medium perfectly aligned with my style and vision.

Whether it’s a soft floral, a quiet forest scene, a lovely animal, or a gentle abstract, each piece is made to feel grounding and peaceful.

 

I hope that just as I feel peace while creating it, my art can bring you a colorful smile every time you see it.
